Todd Academy’s Weblog

About

This weblog is about Todd Academy. It is about its students, parents, its’ unique organizational structure and the way we look at education. We are a small private middle and high school in Indianapolis, IN, who specializes in working with gifted kids who are looking for an academic challenge. We work with the SPAN program at IUPUI in Indianapolis, where our students are also their students by the time they start high school.

The high school was started in 2002, and we opened the middle school in 2006. We are proud to have had a graduating high school class every year since 2004. We have a 100% graduation rate and 100% of our students are accepted into college. In fact, the 2008 graduating class had an average of 43 college credit hours behind them before they graduated high school.

This blog will serve as a place for articles about us, things we are passionate about, articles on raising gifted teens and the unique challenges that represents. It will also showcase reform we would like to see in the education system as a whole, and sometimes as a place for the students, staff and volunteers to post their opinions, thoughts and impressions.

Join us as we discuss all of the issues raising these gifted “emerging young adults” and the challenges we face in doing that well.
