Why is Gaming Great for Learning??

Why come to gaming camp at Todd Academy instead of other camps? For the creative learning of course!

Did you ever wonder why surgeons are requested to play video games? D&D players have great memories and tend to do well in classical mythology? Strategy Camp seems to strengthen math skills and Collectible Card Games seem to create better memory? Because the same skills used to be a great gamer requires memory, strategy, complex mental calculations, and all without the student realizing they are using these complex learning skills.

That is why Todd Academy, Inc. is actively involved in camps that helps strengthen the skills through the summer that we will use for academics the other nine months.

And so we spend the summer, along with the IUPUI Gamer’s Guild, strengthening the skills needed to be a great student. Many of these long-time favorite games strengthen creative writing, character creation, logic, math, reasoning and critical thinking, along with teaching solid social skills, team work and sportsmanship.

What kind of camps? A unique selection of summer camps specifically designed for teens and ‘tweens of all kinds. Check them out at www.toddacademy.com . But here is a list of these unique camps:
